The Children's Shelter La Casa de Jesús and María A.C. (ALCAJYM) is formed by a group of people united with the same goal, to transform the lives of children with Intellectual Disability.

The most important thing is love, it is the fundamental law with which we work, we are a team made up of people from different states of the republic, ages, professions and genres, all united without any profit, just waiting to put all our skills , knowledge and illusions, willing to give our whole heart with the sole purpose of providing love and a home to those who have less. Always keeping in mind, not only as a motto, but as a philosophy of life that defines us, WITH LOVE EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

This Project started more than three years ago, where our objective, mission, vision and values have been defined, with which we will work. Likewise, it has been a process in which the great need that exists for having a specialized place was identified, in order to attend to children with intellectual disabilities, where they can provide all the care and attention they require.

We began to visit several shelters and we realized the situation that exists with children who suffer from some type of disability and who really were the most destitute, because not only did they lack the love of a parent or a family, but they did not find their Instead, they were rejected by their own companions, they did not have the adequate facilities and those who cared for them lacked the knowledge to attend them correctly.

This abandonment we saw, their sadness, the bullying they suffer and especially the realization that in Jalisco there are no specialized shelters or trained to care for them correctly, motivated us and we knew what we had to do, we knew we had to create an Oasis where they they could identify themselves, where in addition to finding a family where they were accepted as they are, they will also find professional and special care for their needs.

And so we began our work, with the only goal of helping the most vulnerable and needy children. To date we have a house, which little by little with the help of our benefactors and the tireless work of our team is becoming a home, waiting for the children who will be part of this family.
